This privacy policy explains how the "Supercar Live Wallpaper 4K New Tab" Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email, or browsing history) to any external server. It does not use analytics, trackers, or remote logging services.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

To personalise your experience, the Extension stores the following data exclusively on your computer using Chrome’s localStorage API:

• Your preferred display name (driver name)
• The selected wallpaper video
• Dashboard widget positions and visibility (clock, stats, search bar, quick-dock)
• Quick‑dock shortcuts (URLs and icons)
• Cursor effect preference
• Voice assistant consent flag

This data never leaves your device. It is only used to restore your settings the next time you open a new tab.

3. Voice Assistant (Optional)

The Extension includes an optional voice‑control feature, activated by clicking the "AI" orb on the new tab page. When you use the voice assistant:

• Your microphone is accessed only after you click the orb and you have given explicit consent.
• Spoken commands are processed using the Web Speech API, a built‑in browser feature provided by Google Chrome.
• This API sends your voice data to Google’s cloud servers for speech‑to‑text conversion. This processing is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
• The Extension itself does not record, store, or share any audio or transcript. It only uses the text to execute the command (e.g., “open YouTube”) and then discards it.

If you do not wish to use voice commands, simply do not click the AI orb – no microphone access is ever requested without your action.

4. Third‑Party Services

Website favicons: When you add a shortcut to the quick‑dock, the Extension fetches the website’s favicon from https://www.google.com/s2/favicons. This request only contains the domain name of the website you saved. No other information is sent.

Video wallpapers: All video files are bundled inside the Extension and load locally; no network requests are made for them.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. Since all personal settings are stored locally on your device, we have no access to them.

6. Your Control & Data Removal

You can remove all stored data at any time by:

• Using the “Reset Dashboard” button in the settings panel (resets layout and dock apps).
• Clearing the browser’s site data for chrome://newtab (if the new tab page is controlled by the extension).
• Uninstalling the Extension, which automatically deletes all local storage associated with it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
